Adrian Francis (b. 1994, Syracuse, NY)
Documentary photographer and visual researcher interested in how geographical distribution and demography shape the fundamentals of society. Francis's work has covered various topics including stories in Israel & the Palestinian Territories, the 2016 Presidential Elections in America, and the war in Ukraine. His projects have been published in Vice, Politiken, The Week Magazine, +972 Magazine, If Not Now, and Feature Shoot. In 2018, Francis studied at the Danish School of Media and Journalism in Aarhus, Denmark, where his project, "In Absentia," was shortlisted for the Sony World Photography Awards. He is a Director's Fellowship recipient of the International Center of Photography's Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism Program and is currently working on a long term project about his upbringing throughout the Rust Belt region of the United States.
